Comments: Actually, fake Hammy Sammy, civil court records are only private to the extent they involve certain matters involving minors, and most places make this information available free of charge - as it should be in a free society. Harris County, TX, as I'm almost positive Cliff stated would be the setting for this alleged lawsuit, in fact has two different public databases: https://www.hcdistrictclerk.com/edocs/public/search.aspx https://www.cclerk.hctx.net/applications/websearch/CourtSearch.aspx?CaseType=Civil I'm not from TX, so I can't say for sure, but I believe these are for different state-level courts, and while one requires you to register - it is free to do so. I have no interest in registering, but the open database has no listing for a case filed by Mr. Wallace. Time will tell what actually happens, but I think Cliff is completely full of shit and that he'd be better served to try and talk to JMM like the friend he allegedly was at some point, attempt to bury the hatchet and negotiate the return of the equipment like men rather than dorky amateur radio fags. Perhaps he should even consider allowing JMM to be part of the repeater group again - and to get that repeater up on Broadcastify because, obviously, 450 just isn't worth listening to right now. Comments: It seems I'm not allowed access to any Texas records about the lawsuit against Richard Bebout, KA6JMM. Texas (unlike California) believe's in an individual's right to privacy. However, recordings of the Elsinore Peak repeater clearly show JMM publicly identified that he was storing and safekeeping Cliff Wallace's property as well as Bebout engaged in the business aspects of maintaining the W6CDW repeater. JMM even put some of Cliff's Gonset radios on display in his trailer. That was over a period of 6 years, hard to deny the business relationship. I don't think JMM has a way out of this lawsuit.
